MY PHILOSOPHY

I am committed to the belief that midwifery care is a trusting partnership of equals between a woman and her midwife.

I believe that women should be enabled to give birth to healthy babies in a normal, safe and satisfying way in a place of their choice, whether that be a homebirth or a hospital birth.

Fundamental to my practice is the acknowledgement of the unique and extraordinary journey that is pregnancy and birth, and the transition into parenthood.

I have faith in the ability of a woman's body to birth her baby through intuition, trust and knowledge.

I'm also committed to physiological, non-intervention birth where appropriate and my practice is underpinned by offering continuity of care, respecting  informed choice, and providing a sensitive, personalised and flexible approach to individualised care.
