ANTE-NATAL CARE |
| Visits will take place in your home or wherever suits your
needs. It is essential that we are able to build a trusting relationship.
Each visit will last as long as is necessary. (depending on the
number of cups of tea offered!!).
The amount of visits throughout the A/N period will depend upon
the individual needs of each woman. I will be available on a 24hr
call out basis, from booking, throughout your pregnancy & up
to the birth of your baby. |

LABOUR & BIRTH |
| When you feel that labour has begun, you can call me and initially
a plan of care will be formulated over the phone. I will come out
to you, when you feel the need and I will stay with you until
the birth of your baby. I may call a second midwife if necessary
with your consent. If complications arise and a decision is made
to transfer into hospital, I will accompany you , and I will stay
to support you as your advocate. After your baby has been welcomed
into the world, I will stay with you and your family, providing
support with breastfeeding and any other issues that may arise.
As a midwife, I am fully trained to deal with any emergencies that
may occur, I carry all the necessary equipment to be able to stablise
any situation, whether it be with mother or child , until medical
help arrives. |

POST NATAL CARE |
| Like the Ante-Natal care, this is very much structured to your
individual needs. I will initially call out to see you and your
new born baby daily. A plan of care will then be put in
place with input from both you and your family, according
to your needs. The Post Natal period covers anything from 4
to 6 weeks. |
