| "When they told me I was too old to have my baby at home I felt
all control dissolve before my very eyes, I was devastated. Then
we met you at our NCT class and our lives changed forever. We believe
that you were sent to us to show all those doubters that women of
(more mature years) are well equipped to have their babies without
intervention and have a positive outcome. Thankyou doesn't seem to
be enough" |

I was pregnant with my first child when I first met Sharon.
The first thing that struck me about her was that she knew
how I was feeling without me having to say anything. I had
been thinking about breastfeeding but really wasn't sure if I
could do it as I associated my breasts with sex.
I hadn't felt comfortable enough to be able to talk about it before
i met Sharon.
We talked endlessly about all my fears and woes and it helped
a lot. By the time I had my 1st son I felt totally in control and
more importantly, not scared. I have gone on to have 1 other child
with Sharon as my midwife and I can't imagine ever doing it again
without her.

The day Sharon walked into our NCT group myself & Jon were
very scepticle about this Independent Midwife coming in and talking
to us about things we were never going to even think about like
HOMEBIRTH! What madness, and we were quite p****d off that she
was coming in and taking up our precious time actually don't you
know!!!
Anyway, 4 weeks later and after our beautiful son Will was
born in the pool in our kitchen with Sharon there guiding us through
every last breath I sat and thought about how I nearly missed out
on this magnificent event in our lives and I counted my lucky stars
I tell ya!!!
We will never again even think about anything other than homebirth
now and we plan to have 4 babies at home in the pool with Sharon
there by our sides. Fantastic!!! Best thing that has ever happened,
Thanks Sharon! |
